The Demonization Of Islam

1024px-Rashidun_Caliph_Uthman_ibn_Affan_-_عثمان_بن_عفان_ثالث_الخلفاء_الراشدين.svgMuch is being written regarding the Charlie Hebdo issue in Paris, France. I do not condone any killing but at the same time I do not support issues that violate human rights, religious freedom or freedom of speech and thoughts. Using cartoons to condemn Divine thoughts and beliefs is utterly wrong because they fall under hate crimes and not under freedom of speech as we are lied about. The perpetrators of hate continue to be protected. Islam is under attack and its adherents, the Muslims, are being targeted through provocation. In a recent article Charlie Hebdo and Tsarnaev’s trial: Cui Bono? Paul Craig Roberts has written “The Roman question is always: Cui bono – Who benefits? The answer is: Not France, not Muslims, but US world hegemony. US hegemony over the world is what the CIA supports. US world hegemony is the neoconservative-imposed foreign policy of the US”.

Mr. Roberts wrote that “according to news reports, one of the accused in the attack on Charlie Hebdo when hearing that he was being sought for the crime turned himself in to police with an ironclad alibi” so then why was he reported killed? Also “ID of Said Kouachi was at the scene of the Charlie Hebdo shooting. Does this sound familiar? Remember, authorities claimed to have found the undamaged passport of one of the alleged 9/11 hijackers among the massive pulverized ruins of the twin towers”. Reasoning tells that Charlie Hebdo was another false flag operation.

AFP reported that the 44 year old newspaper Charlie Hebdo was sliding towards bankruptcy before the attack. It was selling only 30,000 copies against twice that number it was printing. After the attack it has earned pledges of support from the French government and media groups.

demonizingislamSo who is complicit in this demonization? I do not know where this cartoon originated (certainly not Charlie) but it represents the reality of a person’s beliefs being demonized. It does not represent hate. It is the devil in the shadows demonizing America by its own admission (noting the direction of the arrow).

What are the benefits to the world hegemony? Is it really the US depicted in the cartoon that is demonizing Islam and Muslims or is it a neocon-CIA conspiracy to discredit Islam and why? To understand the demonization concept we need to go into the pages of history books but not very far- only as far as our memories permit. I take the case of Nazis and Jews starting from 1935 prior to the outbreak of world war II on September 1939. The history books tell me that the Jews were persecuted in Germany by Hitler but does not tell me why they were persecuted and killed or for what crimes? Was it hate or why were they hated? Was it because Hitler was mad? For these answers I’ve searched without discovering the answers. The history books are always written by the victors so we may never discover the answers. Not possessing any answers, it may seem that the objective was to start a world war. World wars are engineered to bring global changes and shift global and regional power structures. In the case of Europe, the power structures were shifted from several countries to UK and US. An example in case in Europe was breakup of Yugoslavia after death of Josip Broz Tito and engineered by Richard Holbrooke under UN auspices when regional peace was shattered along ethnic lines.

Though the demonization cannot be directly attributed to Muslim leaders, nevertheless they’re complicit because they’ve stretched their hands to western leaders who themselves are being dangled on other purse strings. Muslims have been weakened by actions of their leaders. Other than Iran’s leaders, every other Muslim leader has been a spokesperson for the western causes and not one single leader (again besides Iran) has condemned the cartoons. They fear the consequences. They fear that their looted wealth parked in western banks may be confiscated for one or the other reason. They fear that their families living in US, UK, Canada or Australia may become persecuted and become western targets. They fear that their aids from which they wean financial benefits may be withheld. They fear so much that they don’t even trust their shadows. They need western supports because they’re weak. I’m predominantly referring to Arab leaders from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine and Qatar but not excluding those in Afghanistan or Pakistan (the Sharifs and the Bhutto-Zardaris) propped up by the military. What is not understandable is why are these undemocratic and repressive governments being supported by western, democratic governments.

The demonization of Islam cannot be accomplished no matter what as it is a religious ideology just as much as are the Buddhist, Hindu, Christian or Judaic ideologies but it is Muslims being demonized through terror tactics. Their faiths are being tested. Christianity has already been demonized. Martin Scorsese the director of The Last Temptation of Christ depicted Jesus struggling with fear, doubt, depression and lust. Nikos Kazantakis authored the controversial 1953 book of the same name. The movie was a hit with moviegoers. Could it really be that Jesus a man of God or god in the Christian belief would’ve sunk so low? That book was a figment of imagination of Kazantakis that Scorses captured on celluloid to create doubts about Jesus. Those doubts prevail among Christians. How could Kazantakis have penetrated the thoughts of Jesus after 2000 years and why have the neo-Christians accepted the book and the movie?

Rummaging through my collections I came across an article “The Crucifixion of Kindness” by Gilad Atzmon, an Israeli born activist in which he wrote “as much as Israelis, Zionists and neo-cons are insisting on spreading the deceptive myth of Judeo-Christian alliance…it is clear that the Jewish state shares nothing with Islam or Christianity”.

Scandalous Charlie Hebdo was busy insulting all religious confessions on its pages.

Since the late 80’s and early 90’s Churches of several denominations in the US and Europe have been struggling to attract Christian congregations to such lengths that the entire ideology of Christianity is being destroyed from the pulpits. Instead of being condemned as in the scriptures, homosexuality is being condoned by the churches. I was a student in the US in the 60’s and 70’s when the preachers stood at the pulpits on Sundays with messages of Jesus and the churchgoers had decent Christian values. Those values been destroyed. If there is any truth in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, then one of the protocols is Assault on Religion. The experiment of religious assault was first applied in Soviet Russia. It failed because religion was suppressed by communist ideology. Lessons learnt from the failure were applied successfully in the west and now Islam and Muslims are threatened so that the adherents abandon Islam through the instrument of fear. By making a mockery of Mohammed through Hebdo’s cartoons, Muslims are being provoked and if they remain silent that too is not acceptable. In that case, portray them as terrorists no matter how. Mr. Paul Roberts is correct in asking “was Hebdo’s killing a false flag?” If one Hebdo was sacrificed, many others are in queue.

Christianity and Christians survived under the repression of the mighty Roman empire. They were eaten by lions and butchered. Islam and Muslims will survive under the repression of the mighty American empire. The assault on Islam and Muslims is doomed to fail. Judaism in its true form will also survive. Like Christians, Jews too are a people of Islamic Book.

In another of Gilad Atzmom blogs “Jewish Ideology and Psychosis – A Danger to World Peace” on 8 June 2010 he wrote that “an atomic bomb is not something one uses against its next door neighbor. Israel’s nuclear arsenal is not there to deter Palestinians or Syrians. The Israeli bomb is there for us – Britons, the Turks, the French, the Russians and the Chinese – in short the rest of humanity”.

So what is there that the so called free world fears about Islam and Muslims? That question was answered appropriately by an Israeli woman Dr. Nurit Peled-Elhanan who was invited by the European Parliament in August 2004. She spoke these brave words “It is true unfortunately that the local violence inflicted upon the Palestinian women by the Government of Israel and the Israeli army has expanded upon the globe…not only in Palestine but wherever the enlightened western world has set its imperialistic foot.” She then continues with respect to France, the scene of today’s Charlie Hebdo, “Great France of la liberte la egilite et la fraternite (of liberty, equality and fraternity) is scared of little girls with headscarves, Great Jewish Israel is afraid of the Muslim womb. Its Ministers call it a demographic threat. Almighty America and Great Britain are infecting their respective citizens with blind fear of the Muslims who are depicted as vile, blood thirsty, undemocratic, chauvinistic and mass producers of future terrorists”. Dr. Nurit had the decency of speaking her mind in the parliament. She is the mother of 13 years old Smadar Elhanan who was killed by a suicide bomber in Jerusalem in September 1997.

Finally these brave words of Dr. Nurit “Islam itself, like Judaism or Christianity is not a threat to me or anyone. American imperialism is, European indifference and cooperation is, and Israeli racist and cruel regime is”. American imperialism is not being threatened by Islamic ideology or by its perceived Muslim “terrorism”. It is its own fear that like other empires it too is destined to end. It believes that Zionist ideology that has infiltrated the US foreign and economic policies are its saviour. It believes that with European, British and Canadian cooperation – brothers in arms- it will survive as the last great empire for eternity.

If Gilad Atzmon, Dr. Nurid Peled-Elhanan, Noam Chomsky and other brave Jews do not fear to express themselves, why is it that the kings and princes and the thieves in Muslim countries joined hands with the west as their saviour? I’ve written about this in my article “The Modern and Ancient Parallels of Arabian Aristocracy“. Gaddafi and Saddam have been set as examples for them that if they do not bow before the imperial west then they too will experience the same fate.

Interestingly, Iran has not produced a single terrorist by the actions of the enlightened free world. Why? Because the free, democratic world fears Iran. Why? Because its Muslim leaders have demonstrated that they do not fear the free West or the might of the free West or that of Israel. Divine revolutions have heralded peaceful changes in the past. The last one was the Divinity of Islam. In my previous article “Lessons from Vietnam and Afghan Wars and Terrorism” I wrote that all the evils escaped from Pandora’s box when it was opened but the one that was not evil was hope. Nous esperons et nous prions pour la paix mondiale – we hope and we pray for world peace. It will come but with a price tag.

Netanyahu, Palestine and Ethnic Cleansing
Well, once again, Israeli Prime Murderer Benjamin Netanyahu astounds. One would think that there must be some limit to the bizarre statements that issue from his mouth, but no, we learn again and again that he is willing to push the bizarreness envelope to places where, like the crew of Star Trek’s Enterprise, no one has ever before ventured. His latest flight of fancy even seems to have astonished his worshipful U.S. government, which characterized his statements as ‘inappropriate and unhelpful’, harsh criticism indeed from that bastion of Israeli love. And what is it that Mr. Netanyahu has said? This writer ...

Syrian rebels get arms from Kosovo and Bosnia
The DEBKA website, close to Israeli military intelligence, knows well all the behind the curtain details of regional politics. The senders are the groups from Kosovo and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina linked to Al Qaeda. The package includes Kornet and Fagot anti-tank systems delivered by the Soviet Union to former Yugoslavia in the past. The weapons ended up in the ...

“Responsibility To Protect” Was Not Valid In Kosovo And Isn’t Valid In Ukraine
The same arguments used to justify a western ‘humanitarian intervention’ in Kosovo in 1999 could be used to support a Russian intervention in Ukraine. This article originally appeared at Irrussianality Yesterday, I gave a talk on ‘The Folly of Military Intervention’ at McGill University. Afterwards, one of the students asked me a question about parallels between the wars in Kosovo in 1999 and Ukraine in 2014/15. As I answered, I found myself thinking about the scale of the humanitarian crises in both cases and what this means for supporters of so-called ‘humanitarian intervention’. In 1999, NATO aircraft bombed Yugoslavia for three months. The aim, ...

Luring Trump into Mideast Wars
Donald Trump entered military terra incognita on Thursday by launching an illegal Tomahawk missile strike on an air base in eastern Syria. Beyond the clear violation of international law, the practical results are likely to be disastrous, drawing the U.S. deeper into the Syrian quagmire. But it would be a mistake to focus all the criticism on Trump. Not only are Democrats also at fault, but a good argument could be made that they bear even greater responsibility. For years, near-total unanimity has reigned on Capitol Hill concerning America’s latest villains du jour, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. Congressmen, senators, ...

This year the twentieth anniversary of the massacre in Srebrenica is being observed. On July 11 a huge spectacle will take place at the Srebrenica Memorial center specially constructed for that purpose. It will feature the presence of most of the rather insignificant individuals purporting to be political leaders in the region and the Western-dominated world. Their speeches, which never vary substantially, will be infused with the predictable platitudes. I propose to deal with some aspects of the Srebrenica narrative from the standpoint ...

Is Political Islam Compatible with Democracy?
At the dawn of the so-called Arab Spring in 2011, diplomats, politicians, and intellectuals debated a fresh question: what role can Islamist political parties play in a fledgling democracy? It wasn’t an esoteric or academic debating point. In the tumult that followed the collapse of dictatorial governments in Libya, Egypt, and Tunisia, groups of radical Islamists had organized themselves into political parties and attempting to use the ballot box to get them to where the cartridge box could never take them—control of national governments. This was a new strategy on the part of Islamists. Ever since their emergence in the 1940s and their ...

International Injustice: The Conviction Of Radovan Karadzic

They were cut down in a hail of gunfire in a half-cellar room of the house in Ekaterinburg, a city in the Ural mountain region, where they were being held prisoner.
