Stepan Bandera: The Legacy of Self-Loathing Nazi’s in America

Stepan Bandera’s 106th birthday celebration passed on New Year’s day 2015 and the question of what it means in Ukraine is front and center again. Are there really nazis in Ukraine today? When the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseni Yatsenyuk can say on German News “We cannot allow Russia to attack Ukraine and Germany again like the Soviet Union did in 1941” – Isn’t that case closed regarding ideology?

Yet history and the facts are clear that the Bandera legacy has little to do with Ukrainian history except mass murder.

Instead history shows the mass murderer and torturer Bandera’s greatest impact on the world was in North America through the OUN(Bandera’s nationalist army)-ABN (Anti-Bolshevik Nations)-UCCA (Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America), and Eastern European emigre groups.

Stepan Bandera ordered the attempted assassination of one sitting US President as the last leg of an attempted nazi coup in the United States. Bandera brought one of America’s greatest war time generals and a sitting president to heel on more than one occasion. Bandera was directly responsible for US involvement in the Korean war which caused over 50,000 US servicemen to die.

Bandera’s legacy was the real reason the United States went to war in Vietnam and another 50,000 servicemen gave their lives.

The Bandera groups spent 60 years running the cold war propaganda machine both domestically in the US and internationally. Their propaganda was a large part of what made the defense industry and military budgets as large as they are. Their influence on American perceptions of the Soviet Union, Russia, and definition of Nationalism changed the way the US sees both itself and the world.

Bandera’s legacy includes helping to build Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood rise as a powerhouse, and ISIL’s rise in the Middle East. When the veneer of Islam is stripped away only ABN-APACL-WACL fascism is left.

Bandera’s legacy has affected every presidential administration and session of Congress since the 1950′s. In America today, no national politician can get elected without paying homage to “the Bandera.”

As the proofs are laid out plain where will that put you? For the United States to take the international stance today it now assumes, no matter how uncomfortable it is to look at; domestically a large shift in how citizens perceive American Democracy had to happen first.

The big question is does it matter? As the proofs are provided, you decide.

The First Coup Attempt Big Media Hid

In the 1930′s Stepan Bandera and the OUN sent letters to US president Franklin D. Roosevelt to gain US recognition for the right of Ukrainian nazis to set up their own country. This came at the same time as Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. President Roosevelt rebuffed Bandera’s efforts and made it clear this would never happen.

In 1936 US Ambassador to Germany, William Dodd sent President Roosevelt a letter in which he stated – ”A clique of U.S. industrialists is hell-bent to bring a fascist state to supplant our democratic government and is working closely with the fascist regime in Germany and Italy. I have had plenty of opportunity in my post in Berlin to witness how close some of our American ruling families are to the Nazi regime.”

This coup attempt culminated in a plan to assassinate sitting US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The assassination was planned between 1940-42. This was done even though there was already an investigation into the coup plot. Stepan Bandera ordered his favorite assassin to murder a sitting US President because Roosevelt refused to legitimize Bandera’s terrorist organization, the OUN-ABN-UCCA. Consider that this was the beginning of WW2 for the United States. What would have happened if the Bandera attempt had been successful? Consider what would have happened if the US came into WW2 under its own fascist government. Today there is only one official record of this occurrence and its not part of well known American history.

“There is also evidence of the OUN collaboration with Nazi Germany against the US in the beginning of World War II. For example, archival documents show that the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI, the State Department, a special intelligence unit created by U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and other agencies investigated in 1940-1942 an involvement of OUN and specifically, OUN-B, members, leaders, and sympathizers in a Nazi-led plot to assassinate President Roosevelt. They indicate that Christian Zinsser, an agent of German security services who worked under cover of a German press attaché in Buenos Aires in Argentina, recruited in 1940 Hryhori Matseiko with a mission to kill President Roosevelt. Matseiko was a leading OUN terrorist who assassinated the minister of internal affairs of Poland on the order of Stepan Bandera in 1934. The American, British, and Soviet intelligence services reported involvement of the OUN, in particular, Matseiko, in assisting role in the assassination of the King of Yugoslavia and the Foreign Minister in France in 1934.”- The Politics of World War II in Contemporary Ukraine Ivan Katchanovski Journal of Slavic Military Studies, Vol. 27, No. 2, pp. 210-233

The official version of the assassination attempt is only found at the Roosevelt Library- Henry Field Papers, Box 52, Folder “1964,” Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, Hyde Park, New

York; Department of State Confidential Decimal File, Case 800.20211/Matzejko. National

Archives, College Park, Maryland; Pavel Sudoplatov, Spetsoperatsii. Lubianka i Kreml 1930-1950 gody (Moscow: OLMA-Press, 1998/2003) 26.

Roosevelt ordered the investigation of the OUN-ABN-UCCA Ukrainian nationalists in the United States under the House Un-American Activities Committee for nazism. After Roosevelt’s successor Harry Truman took the presidency the OUN-ABN-UCCA were reclassified as anti-communists and the nazi investigation was closed. Instead of testifying to the US Congress about their own anti- American activities like treason and attempted assassination, the Bandera stood behind Senator Joseph McCarthy and wrote the questions that defined what it meant to be un-American and demanded the answers.

Stepan Bandera and the OUN-ABN-UWC-UCCA leadership never answered for the assassination attempt or even apologized.

Instead the Bandera groups were given large budgets to work with to promote the coup planners version of anti-communism in America. For the coup planners the only alternative was an American brand of fascism and the groups involved have spent 70 years tirelessly working at it.

The American Liberty League, the working group behind the coup attempt went on to morph into the most powerful political engine in American history which was the China Lobby. One of the founders of the China Lobby was Yaroslav Stetsko. Stetsko was second in command to the Ukrainain nazi Stepan Bandera. His groups gave Senator Joe McCarthy the questions that defined what it meant to be a good American during the red scares. This mass murdering nazi became powerful enough in American politics to write points into Democratic and Republican presidential campaign platforms by the early 1950′s.

Greece in the Mediterranean Security System
With respect to Greece’s role in the Mediterranean security system, the multilateralist formula applied to the region including the Balkans as well as is the orienting principle for the Greek foreign policy since the end of the Cold War. Since 1994, the opportunities for NATO’s and EU’s initiatives were more than apparent for Athens when Greece (wrongly) understood the Euro-Atlantic community as a fundamental security player for the extending the values of security and co-operation into this structurally unbalanced region. During the Cold War, the Greek policy-makers also found (wrongly) since 1952 that the US-led NATO offered allegedly excellent opportunities ...

Syria: It’s Not a Civil War and it Never Was
The weapons are foreign, the fighters are foreign, the agenda is foreign. As Syrian forces fight to wrest control of their country back and restore order within their borders, the myth of the “Syrian civil war” continues on. Undoubtedly there are Syrians who oppose the Syrian government and even Syrians who have taken up arms against the government and in turn, against the Syrian people, but from the beginning (in fact before the beginning) this war has been driven from abroad. Calling it a “civil war” is a misnomer as much as calling those taking up arms “opposition.” It is not ...

What is the Best Solution To the Ukrainian Crisis?
The current Ukrainian crisis and, in fact, a civil war which started at the very end of 2013 are grounded in for decades lasting internal interregional antagonisms between the western and the eastern regions of Ukraine. The crisis is fully fueled by the Western governments which armed far-right “European” Kiev regime giving to it a comprehensive political, financial and diplomatic support for the policy of brutal Ukrainization and even Nazification of the whole country but primarily at the expense of the Russian-speaking population at Ukraine’s East. A similar example we experienced in “European” Croatia in the 1990s when the same ...

The Kosovo “Powder Keg”
While all eyes have been on the U.S. presidential campaign, such foreign-policy hot spots as Syria, Iran and Pakistan, and the increasingly frosty relations between the United States and China, a simmering problem in the Balkans threatens to come to a boil. The most serious clashes to date involving angry Serb inhabitants of the northern portion of Kosovo and international Kosovo Force (KFOR) peacekeeping personnel erupted on November 28. Thirty German and Austrian soldiers were injured, some by small-arms fire and Molotov cocktails, when KFOR troops tried to remove roadblocks that Serb residents had erected. Those barricades have been the most ...

How Britain Helped Create ISIS
Britain is gripped by fear, panic and anger, after being struck by three terror attacks in the space of three months. Innocent men, women and children have been killed in the terror rampage, filling many homes with tragedy and despair. Martial law has practically been declared in many regions of the country, with troops now being a common site on the streets of Royal Britannia. Many are looking for someone or something to blame, as rage is increasingly triumphing over reason.  Lost in all this hysteria however, there sits a glaring connection that needs to be illuminated: the connection between these ...

Kosovo and the Crisis of Ignoring International Law and Global Opinions
Kosovo obtained part independence when America and many European nations gave the go ahead for the creation of this new nation. However, it is clear that things are not plain sailing because many other nations did not support this elitist adventure, therefore, the wider international community was ignored. Therefore, today we have a situation where some nations support this new state, however, the majority of nations in Africa, Asia, and South America, have not given their consent. Also, the Russian Federation, Spain, and some other European nations, refuse to accept this American led adventure. Therefore, what does the future hold for Kosovo ...

The Useful Idiocy of Donald Trump
The problem with Donald Trump is not that he is imbecilic and inept—it is that he has surrendered total power to the oligarchic and military elites. They get what they want. They do what they want. Although the president is a one-man wrecking crew aimed at democratic norms and institutions, although he has turned the United States into a laughingstock around the globe, our national crisis is embodied not in Trump but the corporate state’s now unfettered pillage.Trump, who has no inclination or ability to govern, has handed the machinery of government over to the bankers, corporate executives, right-wing think ...

USA: False Flags and Fake Reality
Years ago, the terms “false flag” and “conspiracy theory” went hand in hand. Suggesting that a government would stage an attack on its own people or attack an ally and blame it on a “third party” was unthinkable. This is despite the glaring fact that “false flags” have been going on since before biblical times and have been a part of every nation’s policy. Intelligence agencies exist to do little else, they plan and execute false flag attacks to influence policy and set the course of events, based on analysis. This is, in fact, their greatest single tool, and one used ...

“The Civilized World” Strikes Again: Donald Trump, a Complete Puppet of the Military Industrial Complex
It is apparent given the timelines and the lack of time given to verifying the validity of accusations concerning the gas attack in Homs, Syria, that plans had already been coordinated for such an attack. Watching the mainstream media the viewer receives the impression from the wording of the announcers reports and questions for the “experts” that the matter was already decided in favour of the U.S. military strike on the airbase. I see pictures of Colin Powell at the UN holding up glossy photos of supposed chemical weapons manufacturing plants. It demonstrates to a high degree how easily manipulated Trump ...

On this day in 1973 the democratically elected president of Chile, Salvador Allende, was overthrown by General Augusto Pinochet. In the aftermath, 3000 leftists were murdered, tens of thousands tortured and hundreds of thousands  driven from the country. Since it doesn’t serve to justify further domination by the powerful few in the Canadian media will commemorate the ‘original 9/11’. Even fewer will recognize Canada’s role in the US backed coup. The Pierre Trudeau government was hostile to Allende’s elected government. In 1964 Eduardo Frei defeated the openly Marxist Allende in presidential elections. Worried about growing support for socialism, Ottawa gave $8.6 million to ...

Robert A. Dahl on Democracy
The American political theorist and Sterling Professor of Political Science at Yale University, Robert A. Dahl (1917−2014) left in his immense scientific writing opus considerable remarks on democracy. Here, I would like to summarize his theoretical approaches to democracy.Historical development of democracyAccording to him, democracy was created there, where existed the best conditions for its development. R. A. Dahl assumes, that this happened already in the time when people lived in a system of tribal bonds. He thinks, that democracy was the standard and universal form of the government in prehistoric society. Later, democracy was replaced by other political systems and ...

This year the twentieth anniversary of the massacre in Srebrenica is being observed. On July 11 a huge spectacle will take place at the Srebrenica Memorial center specially constructed for that purpose. It will feature the presence of most of the rather insignificant individuals purporting to be political leaders in the region and the Western-dominated world. Their speeches, which never vary substantially, will be infused with the predictable platitudes. I propose to deal with some aspects of the Srebrenica narrative from the standpoint ...

The World According to ISIS
This article is excerpted from Fawaz A. Gerges’s forthcoming book, ISIS: A History.Although the spectacular surge of ISIS must be contextualized within the social and political circumstances that exist in Iraq and Syria and beyond, the group’s worldview and ideology should be taken equally seriously. Ideology is, after all, the superglue that binds Salafi-jihadists known as revolutionary religious activists or global jihadists of the ISIS variety to each other. The Salafi-jihadist movement emerged from an alliance between ultraconservative Saudi Salafism (or Wahhabism) and revolutionary Egyptian Islamism which was inspired by the Egyptian master theorist, Sayyid Qutb. The Afghan war against ...
